"Vacation? Oh, come now, Sister."

"Come on, nothing! We've been busy making political excuses for over two hundred years now, and making motions against and for houses non stop! Now with the Mihoshi report, and Washuu's promise, what better time to take a break. . ?"

"But, Misaki. ," her tone betrayed her own interest in a bit of rest, especially back on Earth.

". . .While we still can? Besides. I miss our children, and I barely got to talk to Tenchi. . ," Misaki whined.

Funaho took a deep breath. Then opened only one eye. "And Azusa?"

"What about him?"

"What will he say?"

"I dunno. We'll probably have to pack for him, as usual."

"You don't -really- think he'll go for this!? Let alone -with- us!?"

But Misaki was already packing some more logs, humming to herself.

---------------

Tenchi was getting tired, and bored, very quickly as he tilled the fields, even though Ryo-oh-ki was helping with a small hoe in her four year old body. These fields felt like the only place he could ‘get away,' but even then, the work he was doing was seriously beginning to get to him.

Not to mention Ryoko buzzing in and out from the fields every ten minutes or so kind of shattered the illusion of privacy more than Ryo-oh-ki.

"Miya miyah!" Ryo-oh-ki cheered, happy that she was helping Tenchi and oblivious to most everything else, wether his discontent or Ryoko teleporting in and out.

"Why doncha stop? You look tired, Tenchi," she said in a soft voice.

"Yeah, maybe. I've never really seen you tired, before," he commented. Not bothering to look at her.

Tenchi stopped, propping himself on the hoe. It hadn't taken too long to fill in the crater from that blast of the Mass of a couple months ago, and now the fields were almost uniform again. The cycle harvest was just about exhausted, too, meaning it would be pretty tight till next autumn. Nobuyuki never made it an issue to have food available, though, so he wasn't worried.

"Miyah?" Ryo-oh-ki tugged on his pant leg, curious why he stopped. "Tenchi?" she asked. Tenchi was startled to hear her talk, as her vocabulary was still very limited. ‘Carrot' and ‘Tenchi' were about it.

He smiled down at her. "I think that's enough for one day. Let's get the tools and go to the shed before it starts raining."

"Miyah!" She ran over to the other various tools and grabbed as many as she could bundle in her short arms dropping half of them in the process.

Ryoko chuckled at the sight softly. "She loves to help you, Tenchi."

He glanced back at Ryoko, who was descending from the air above him. "Yeah. I've always wondered what it might be like to have a little sister."

She turned to look at him, her expression un-readable, but her eyes seeming to expect something more from him. She watched him until he walked over to Ryo-oh-Ki to help her pick up some of the tools. Before she teleported away, unnoticed by either.

"I guess between Sasami and Ryo-oh-ki is the closest I may get. . ."

"Miyah?"

------

". . . ."

Azusa stood in their personal lounge, looking between his wives. Misaki was even brighter than usual and Funaho was reserved.

(Trouble,) he decided.

They both looked at him as he entered. "Alright. Out with it. Come on," he said in a powerful voice.

"Dear, Misaki would like to. ."

"Lets take a vacation, honey!" Misaki ran up to him, grabbing his right arm.

"What!?" he said, resisting her pulls slightly.

"Oh, come on! Now that we've settled this little issue on Earth, this might be our only chance to get a little bit of rest before everything comes crashing down!"

"Little Issue? Vacation!?" he said, still digesting her offers. "What kind of vacation could we possibly have?"

Misaki looked like she was about to gag on her own smile when he asked.

Azusa groaned. "Not back to Earth. . ."

"But A-chan! I miss our family! And it would give us a better opportunity to get to know Tenchi! And the weather there is so beautiful . ."

Azusa was not wild about going back to the planet he left a matter of weeks ago, let alone his wives/advisors going. This would put a crimp in his own plans for Tenchi.

"No. Absolutely not. We have more important matters to attend to," he said piously.

"But Azusa!" Misaki whined.

"We don't need to be wasting our time on a backwater planet like that when we have much to do!"

Funaho stepped in. "So spending time with our children is a waste?" she said.

(Oh No. Not -that- tone,) Azusa thought in a bit of worry. "That's not what I meant. Besides, they clearly prefer the company of that boy to their own parents."

Misaki chewed on her little cloth for a moment, before shooting Funaho a sudden glare.

Funaho caught the look her ‘sister' was giving her. (Oh geeze not this,) she moaned, but she couldn't deny Misaki's pleading eyes. She closed both her eyes, then opened only one to her sister. (Okay, you twit,) she thought.

They both walked back up to Azusa, side by side. Azusa imperceptibly leaned back. (Now what?)

Misaki, still chewing on said cloth, and Funaho both eyes closed, let the silence get thick in their personal lounge. Funaho took a deep sigh, then opened her eyes as well.

(Uh oh,) he thought.

They both clapped their hands together, bending forward slightly, eyes fluttering widely. "PLLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSSSSEEE!?!?!?!?!"

". .uh. . ," was all he could form with his mouth. He was completely incapacitated for several moments, before he coughed and cleared his throat.

"Very well. . .. BUT!!! We return to home world Jurai Prime first and finish business. -Then- you may go."

"-We-, may go," Funaho said, shooting him one eye that Misaki couldn't see.

Azusa caught the drift. "Yes. We may go. . .," he said quickly. His resolve now laid in waste by his two wives, he was fast becoming uncomfortable. "Well. . .I must return to the bridge." With that he took off quickly, his male pride in shambles at the doorway..

Funaho took a deep breath again putting her hand on her head. "I hate doing that," she complained. Misaki threw her arms around her, bouncing up and down.

"Thank-you Thank-you!"

"Okay, Okay! Enough," she laughed. "You owe me though. . ."

"I think we owe dear Ah-chan. He seemed to have lost his macho-ness back there."

"We'll. . . .make it up to him when we reach Jurai," Funaho decreed, smiling broadly, imagining ways to reward her husband.
