Ranma1/2 comes to us in several
media formats to enjoy. The Artist, a woman by the name of Rumiko Takahashi,
has established herself as one of the most popular Comic, oh hell, simply
one of the most popular PUBLISHED authors in the world, especially
among other women. Currently as far as I know, Ranma1/2 comics appear translated
in over 12 languages. In the Western Hemisphere, happily brings us the Japanese
ShonenSunday published version, which I must sadly say has ended. It ran
9 years in Japan, and translated English versions are still coming here.
Also reaching the West is the television series(also of Viz)
that will consist of over 150 episodes before moving to the OVA format,
where 10 episodes currently run. Also included in that run are two theatrical
movies and one direct to home movie.
