Welcome to the main index of Ryo-Oh-Ki's Dragonball Z section.  If you desire action, get ready to feel the power.  With masterful artwork and storyline by Akira Toriyama, Dragonball Z pretty much picks up where Dragonball left off-- Goku is now a man and has gotten a taste of that weird food called "marriage" that Ox King's daughter, Chi Chi told him about so long ago.  Before you plunge head-first into this section, allow me, Davegeta, to set the scene and tell how things have become since the end of Dragonball.

Goku:    lives with his wife, Chi chi, and their first-born son, Gohan, in a small cottage in the forest.  Despite objections from his (decidedly) overbearing wife, Goku continues his martial arts training, although Chi chi will not let Gohan train in the martial arts.  Instead, she makes him study the sciences.

Piccolo:    roams the earth alone, plotting his revenge against Goku for the defeat of his father, Piccolo Daimou.  He trains as well, always staying very strong, but always falling just a tiny bit short under Goku in sheer power and speed.  He vows one day to keep his promise and murder Goku.

Bulma:    continues to work for Capsule Corporation designing space cruisers and hovercrafts, not to mention many assorted small gadgets.  She has not visited Goku for six years, although she occasionally drops by Kamesennin's place to visit.  Lately she has become enraged and jealous after finding out that Yamucha cheated on her and left town to play baseball with his friend Pu'arr.

Kamesennin:    lives with Krillin and Mr. Kame in his Kame house on an island far out to sea of the East District.  Though he now leads a mostly peaceful life, he hasn't given up his perverted, Hentai-loving tendencies (although you'd never know it from watching the American DBZ).  No one in his house has seen Goku for six years either.

Krillin:    lives with Kamesennin in his Kame house on the island.  His search continues for a date (which does happen in the series somewhere but I won't spoil it for you) and a less bashful disposition.  He doesn't play a very big role in the first part of the series.

Tenshinhan:    trains under a waterfall with his pal Chaozu, and has now improved a great deal since we last left him at the Budokai.  Even though he is still not as strong as Goku (who is?), he hopes to achieve an extreme state of power that proves difficult to handle even for the toughest adversary.

Well, there you have it.  This should prepare you enough so you won't be totally confused when you start reading the plot summaries.  Also, when surfing around in the movies section, please note that whatever happens in any of the DBZ movies impacts NOTHING in the main storyline.  Got that?  The movies are like exits on a highway; they don't really fit, and it's best to just proceed through while ignoring them unless you need a special fix.  Not that the movies are bad or anything; they're really cool to watch (please disregard this comment for "The Tree of Might", that one really sucked), they just don't exist in the DBZ time line.  Okay, that's it.  I will tell you no more, all the rest of the information is in the pages listed below.

Select a section    I've divided the site into six sections; Characters, Story Line, Pictures, Power Levels, Movies, and Frequently Asked Questions.  The characters section gives a basic rundown of each character, with little-known facts and a SMALL picture (the big 'uns are in the pictures section).  The story line section is exactly that-- the story line of Dragonball Z.  The plots of the movies are in the movies section; the story line is for the TV show, starting from episode one.  Pictures, well, are pictures.  A large list of thumbed pics to look at starring the DBZ characters.  The power levels page is basically a listing of all the different power levels of everyone starting with the beginning.  The movies section has plot summaries and shots from all the different movies, as well as a few actual segments of video.  In frequently-asked questions, I will address many of the most-asked questions about the series, such as who is Vegetto, why does the show keep restarting, and what's all that stuff that vibrates on the screen once in a while.  This will help everyone out there that's just starting out in the DBZ universe.  I tried to include all the questions that I had when I first started out doing all this stuff.  So, whenever you're ready, just click on a link over here and jump right in.  (shameless plug)=  VISIT ANIME WEEKEND ATLANTA!
